I am really enjoying my CrushGrind coffee grinder. I especially like the feature of being able to dial the size of the coffee grind. Very easy to use.
Dear Lynda! Thank you for your feedback. We are appreciate it very much. All the best, FrenchPressCoffee.com
I am so far very happy with this coffee grinder. After watching the set up video that French Press Coffee has on you tube I now have it dialed in perfectly. I did find that once you start your grind to maintain a constant speed till the grind is complete. I get a nice even texture. I find that whatever I weigh in for beans is what I get out for the grind. Very little residual is ever left in the burrs. Would recommend to anyone who likes a consistent great grind every time.

The grinder is of very good quality. I noticed there is a slight wobble to the shaft that results in a inconsistent grind; not enough to ruin the coffee. The coffee tasted very good. Igor at French Press was very responsive and helpful and forwarded comments to Crush Grind. I would like to see the grind adjusting mechanism have a more user friendly adjustment interface. It's not bad the way it is at the moment just a wish. I feel the wobble is manifested more when grinding coffee on it's side while nested in it's cradle. I'll try grinding holding it upright with both hands and see how the grind turns out. Overall, I'm pleased with this product. I may purchase the Columbia model down the road to compare.

After watching your positive review of the Brazil grinder on YouTube, I ordered the grinder. I am replacing a Hario manual grinder with ceramic burrs. To my dismay, after 3 days of use I am disappointed with the new grinder. More effort is required to grind my freshly roasted Indonesian beans when compared to my older, less expensive grinder. I don’t think I am doing anything wrong. Please advise.

This is the best hand grinder. I love that it has a heavy base making it so much easier to grind the beans. Grinds the beans as fine or as coarse as you'd like it. Never seen another like this on the market.

I love it! It is very easy to use. I love having a manual grinder as I had two electric ones break within 1 month. I highly recommend this coffee grinder.

We purchase our grinder about year and half ago. We used it almost daily. It was never dropped or abused. It worked fantastically. But noticed a crack formed where the ceramic grinder is located and worked itself down to the bottom. We repaired it with duct tape. It still works, but wished it had better durability than cheap plastic.
We generally purchase ground beans, for convenience sake. Makes the morning prep of French Press coffee, very quick. But fresh ground beans on the weekend, is fantastic. Fresh ground beans are our preference; and The Brazil manual grinder, is especial helpful at our cabin (no power). The base, is the bit of genius, with this grinder. It will sit on a level surface, rock solid, and allows for easy rotation of the handle. We have tried other manual grinders, (the glass jar, wood box, etc.), and the base 'skips around' on your surface. The consistency of the grind, is the best we have seen. The video is totally accurate. I would definitely recommend this manual burr grinder.

I'm playing with the grind settings but even now I can say the beans are ground evenly.
It's a huge upgrade from my old Skerton.
If you're hesitating about this, please don't, I think it's the best manual coffee grinder out there!
That being said, I want to give an honorable mention to the crew on frenchpresscoffee for the dedication! They even include a table with the math and grinding settings to make our life easier!
Keep it up guys, great service!

I'm still figuring out the right grind setting, given its superior capability at producing a fine grind, at least compared to my past grinders. While the holder for the device is weighted, producing a fine grind takes some effort and benefits from leverage. I've found that better leverage is afforded by placing the device at hip level and pressing downward, so that the housing does not slip around. Ideally one would have a table at that unconventional level on which to place the device, as well as some means of attaching it, so that downward pressure is not required. I have a cast-iron Brazilian manual grinder that screws onto a shelf, thereby securing it. Workmanship is excellent. I'm satisfied and will be more so after I have made certain adaptations.
