How often should you change your french press filter?

Deciding how often you should change your french press filter depends on a couple of things. Consider buying a replacement filter for your french press if any of these things happen:

  • You notice coffee grinds in your cup and a tear in one of your current filters.
  • If you have lost either the primary (lower) or secondary (upper) filter, or the filter brace (medium and large, only).
  • If you have damaged the plastic structure of one of your filters (e.g., by leaving it on a hot stove top).

If you need to replace your filter, you can easily purchase a french press filter replacement from us for your Bodum French Press, your Espro Press, or your Frieling French Press.
