I've only used it 5 times but it seems to be very consistent. If you've seen reviews about this grinder you'll know that it can't quite reach espresso fineness but you really can't expect this machine to do everything given its price. Very quiet, and easy to use. So far I've made french press cold brews and V60 pour overs with no complaints! If you've never had freshly ground coffee this is a perfect way to experience it at home. Doesn't take much space and all parts are easy to clean. If I had to say one negative thing is that there is a small static issue (with my model at least) which is common for grinders in this price point. You can do the method that French Press Coffee recommends which is adding a few drops of water into your coffee beans but I just settle with shaking the machine slightly after grinding.
Coffee grounds go everywhere and makes a huge mess. Costing me money every time I grind my coffee beans. I won’t buy this brand again!
This burr coffee grinder works very well and is quiet enough that it does not wake a sleeping partner in the other room.
3 or so years ago, I became aware of how important a consistent grind is to make really good coffee. I read all the reviews and bought the one that most people say gives you the most bang for the buck, the Baratza Encore. I used it for a couple of years, but I had intermittent clogging/cleaning issues, and eventually, it just stopped working. This Capresso grinder usually places in the same rankings as the Baratza, so I decided to check it out, and I've been happy with it. Much quieter, good consistent grind, well-designed hopper that seems immune from the static electricity issue that makes emptying such a mess with other grinders.
